Since 1942, when Cadillac Products was formed to meet the urgent needs of World War II, we have been putting our talent, energy and dedication to work for our customers. From materials and processing options, to design and development, we can create a cost-effective solution for your needs.

1940's

Cadillac Bag Company, was founded during WWII when M.P. Williams, partner of Cadillac Bookbinding Company met with Chrysler to discuss a new Defense Packaging Program.

1950's

Sterling Heights, MI Plant opened (moved from Ferndale, MI) to consolidate all company operations under one roof. Product: Automotive Water Shields & Seat Covers.

1960's

Cadillac purchased a used polyethylene cast film extruder from Fabricon with hopes of using it to extrude film for Chrysler Water Shields.

GMC Truck & Coach Division awards first contract to Cadillac for thermoformed parts

1970's

Cadillac’s Automotive Trim Parts Plant adds transit coach air duct panels for GMC Truck & Coach Division & GM Diesel of Canada to our product line.

1980's

To better manage future growth a massive management reorganization split the company into three business units: 1. Film & Flex, 2. Thermoforming, & 3. Automotive

1990's

Chrysler Corporation recognized the excellent performance by CPI Sterling employees through the presentation of their Pentastar Award. The Sterling Plant had shipped 10 million parts to Chrysler with zero defects

General Motors recognizes our Trim Plant Operations with Supplier of the Year Award.

Product: hand wrapped parts, sequenced to GM.

Roseville, MI Plant opens – automotive operations transferred from Sterling Heights Plant.

Product: Watershields

2000's

Schertz, Texas Plant opens. Product: Water Shields and acoustic pads for GM, Nissan & ProMaster.

2010's

Injection molding operation added to Rogers City Plant to produce new energy absorption technology for front & rear bumper systems. Customer is GM & Magna

Developed brake and wheel covers to protect wheel brake systems during shipment to dealerships

Developed SOUNDLOC-SEAL and earned first dash mat program for FCA to be produced in new Troy, MI Plant (TRP).

Developed FIBERSORB and earned Transmission Shield program for Ford.

2019: General Motors recognizes CPAC as a 2018 Supplier of the Year Award Winner. This is the 2^nd time our overall performance has been recognized with GM’s Supplier of the Year Award.
